These terms outline how Harper Transfer & Storage provides moving and storage services to customers in Laurel, Jones County, and the surrounding Pine Belt and beyond. By requesting a quote or booking a move with us, you agree to the terms below.

Estimates and Final Charges

Estimates are based on the information you provide to us during your in-home or video walkthrough, including the items you plan to move, access conditions at both addresses, and any packing or storage services requested. Final charges may vary from the original estimate if the actual scope of the job differs from what was described — for example, additional items, difficult access, or extra packing requested on moving day. Local moves are generally billed on an hourly basis according to crew size and truck used; long-distance moves are billed according to the weight of the shipment and the distance driven. We’ll explain any change in cost before continuing work whenever possible.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for accurately disclosing the items, quantities, and any special handling needs — including hazardous materials, which we cannot transport — so that our crew and equipment are properly prepared. Inaccurate or incomplete information provided before the move may affect pricing or scheduling on moving day.

Licensing, Insurance, and Claims

Harper Transfer & Storage is a fully licensed and insured Mississippi household-goods carrier. Our coverage protects your belongings while they are in our care, in transit, or in our on-site storage warehouse. If you believe an item was lost or damaged during your move, please report it to our office as soon as possible; consistent with standard federal moving-industry practice, claims should be submitted within nine months of delivery to be considered.
