Wonderful hardworking movers! Would 1000% recommend!!
On-Site Climate-Controlled Storage
Not a rented unit across town — a climate-controlled warehouse we built, staff and run ourselves.
Get my free estimateCole Reddick started Harper Transfer & Storage in 2015 after years managing a furniture-distribution warehouse near Hattiesburg, and the one thing he refused to build the company without was our own storage. Most local movers who offer to store your things are really just renting space at a self-storage lot across town and handing you a key — which is fine until August, when a non-climate-controlled steel unit in south Mississippi turns into an oven that can crack veneer, warp wood, and cook the internals of anything electronic sitting in it for a summer. We built our warehouse at 2204 Ellisville Blvd specifically so that never happens to anything we’re responsible for.
Everything that comes through our storage program stays on our own property, climate-controlled year-round, watched by the same crew that handles your move. We don’t sublet space to a third-party facility, and we don’t hand your furniture off to a self-storage company that has no idea what’s in the unit or how it needs to be handled. If it’s in our warehouse, it’s under our roof.
How Items Get Logged and Shelved
Nadia Fitch built the shelving and tagging system we still use today, back when she took over packing and fragile items in 2017. Every piece that comes into the warehouse gets tagged at the truck — customer name, move date, and a description specific enough that nobody’s opening three boxes to find the one with the lamp. Furniture gets shelved by category rather than stacked in a pile behind whatever came in that week, so a dresser that’s been sitting for six weeks is exactly as easy to pull as one that came in yesterday.
Boyd Lassiter signs off on everything going in or out. As lead crew foreman since 2016, he does a final check against the tag list before anything leaves the truck for a shelf, and again before anything leaves the shelf for a truck — which is the same two-person accountability most rented storage units simply don’t have, because nobody at a self-storage counter is checking your furniture against anything.
The Same Crew, In and Out
Here’s the part that actually matters when you’re the one waiting on your things: the crew that logs an item into our warehouse is the crew that pulls it back out. Nobody’s handing your furniture to a different team who’s never seen it before, and nobody’s digging through a unit trying to remember which boxes were yours. When your new place is ready, we pull the tags, load the truck, and deliver — the same process in reverse, run by people who already know exactly what they’re carrying.
Storage comes up on almost every kind of move we run. A closing date that slips a week, an apartment lease that starts before the old one ends, a downsizing move where a family needs time to decide what to keep, a long-distance relocation where the new house isn’t finished — in every one of those cases, the alternative to our warehouse is a rented unit you’d have to manage yourself, coordinate access to, and hope stays climate-controlled. Ours already is, and it’s already staffed by people who know your move.
- Climate-controlled year-round — no summer heat damage to upholstery, wood or electronics
- Tagged and logged by item at the time it’s packed, not sorted out later
- Signed off by our lead crew foreman on the way in and the way out
- Never subletted to a third-party self-storage facility — it stays on our own property
If your move has any kind of gap in it — a few days, a few weeks, or longer while you sort out a new place — call (601) 552-9034 and ask about warehouse storage. It’s the one part of the move we built the whole company around.
What sets Harper Transfer & Storage apart
The people who answer your first call are the same people lifting the last box off the truck — same faces, same truck, no handoff in between.
No Mid-Job Crew Swaps
Boyd’s four-person team rides the truck from your old address to your new one. Whoever loads the sofa is still there to set it down — we don’t pull people off your job to patch a gap on somebody else’s.
Payroll Crew, Not Rented Labor
Every name on the truck is on our own payroll and answers to Boyd, who’s led this same four-person team for ten years. Nobody gets pulled in for a day through a gig app.
A Registered Mississippi Carrier
We keep our Mississippi household-goods carrier registration current and insurance on every load. Need proof for a Jones County property manager or HOA? A certificate goes out same-day.
Trent Maps The Route Before We Load
New-construction streets past Sandersville that GPS hasn’t caught up with yet, a gate check-in in Bay Springs, log trucks backing up US-11 — Trent has the route worked out before the truck leaves the yard.
You Get Cole, Not A Call Center
Dial the Ellisville Blvd number and Cole, Simone, or one of the office crew picks up — not a script somewhere out of state. The arrival window we give you holds, and moving your date costs nothing.

Nothing Travels Uncovered
Nadia trains the crew to blanket and shrink-wrap dressers and cushions right where they stand in the room — not out in the hallway on the way to the truck.
We Protect The House, Not Just The Furniture
Corner guards and floor runners go down at both ends before the first box moves. That’s how neither your old place nor the new one ends up with a scuffed wall.
We Take It Apart, We Put It Back Together
Bed frames, dining tables, cribs — the crew disassembles what needs it for the ride and reassembles everything at the new address. No leftover screws in a bag on your counter.
A Box Just For The Fragile Stuff
TVs, mirrors, and artwork get their own carton with real corner padding, not a spot wedged behind a couch cushion because it was the only room left.
Ramps And Straps, Not Bare Backs
Anything heavy rides on a dolly with a real tie-down strap holding it, so nothing gets dragged across a floor or hauled up a staircase by muscle alone.
No Handoff At Lunch
There’s no relief shift and no fresh face showing up after noon. The crew that loaded your first box is still there for the last one, same day, same faces.

Cheapest and most efficient movers around!
Great choice for your relocation needs!
Three steps. One crew the whole way.
Give Us The Basics
Both ZIP codes and a ballpark room count is enough for Simone to send a written number back the same day — no in-person walkthrough required just to get a figure.
A Named Crew Goes On The Calendar
Lock in a date and Boyd’s specific four-person crew and truck are booked under your name, not a general slot. If your building needs a certificate of insurance first, we get it sent before move day.
They Load It, They Unload It
Your crew arrives in the window we promised, pads and wraps whatever needs it, and drives the truck themselves to wherever it’s going — no different faces waiting at the other end.
Ready to put your move on the schedule?
Whoever picks up when you call is on the truck in your driveway on move day — we don’t hand your job to a different crew or a subcontractor partway through. Give us your details and expect a number back the same day.
